"Dive" has been out for about a month now and it has been a rollercoaster. Cause do i even trust myself to do this thing? But the answer is always the same : keep creating.

Listen to the song while I take you behind the lyrics and production of "Dive"....

I have worked on "Dive" over the past few years, it has evolved a lot, beginning from a place of begging for love to now inviting into love. Music teaches me everything and is my safe place. Its weird having something so vulnerable be fine tuned to the amount i did and just playing casually on a friends speaker...

This song was created in a single session with Catfish the Wizard in the Palace, he captured the feeling of a magic carpet ride and suddenly the heartbreak i felt in that moment poured onto the pages of the adventures i plan to have in my life, all the beautiful places in the world I hoped to explore. My obsession with Jasmine and Aladdin started from my birth (it actually came out in my birth year) and i have always wanted to write my own version of "A whole new world". So here it is, and excited to say I am the one driving this magic carpet as crazy as i wanna. I know that might mean im riding solo for awhile cause the things I want to do are not realistic... so whattt?

After taking a scratch recording of the song on our single session, Catfish sent me the stems for the song and it sat on my computer for too long. In Calgary I started recording with Tim Afuhmbom in his studio, it was safe escape to get more comfortable hearing my voice in a studio and he made it sound so nice! My mind body and soul at the time didn't know how the song sounded truely yet though. As time passed and I got more healthy, started vocal lessons, grew a stronger support system and decided to take music more serious. Feb 2025, I was able to work with Angie, a top notch sound engineer in Toronto, to record my vocals on "Dive". The final touch was Malkit recording tabla in the secret garden and Rayray Treeze laying down the bassline.

After all this we are not at the hardest part yet... now I am left with all the stems for this song, in the most disorganized state you can imagine. That froze me in the process for way to many months. Thank God for Jinting (the coolest sound engineer) helping me organize and learn so much about mixing, this song was hours of time staring at the screen. Last was Graham at Atreus XO in Edmonton who mastered the final version out now. "Dive" might not get heard by a billion people but it has strenghtened me as an artist incredibly and for that I'm grateful.

I hope everyone who listens feels inspired to dream big and not let anything limit them. Now I need to start promoting myself and "Dive" and it feels so awkward and just dont look at me. But I want to do justice for what the process of "Dive" has been and the places it has taken me in my creation. So get ready to be bombarded as if im Rihanna or something lol
